A beautiful, thoughtful composition, that illuminaties the flower as the centre piece of the work. The background is nice, I like how it blends in so you have created a sea of greens and browns behind the flower. It gives an earthy feel, as if the flower is being backed up by the soil and grass; where it came from. I like the blurred flower in the background, it balances the colour on either side and helps to make the feature flower stand out. One thing, maybe try to achieve more focus on the stem of the flower; it would help to make the whole thing stand out more. Well done, I really like this, it's very thoughtful and obviously carefully done. ^^
I'm not a photographer, and I don't really know the official terms. I really like this piece because of how it draws the eye. Seeing the out of focus bloom by the right edge emphasizes the shape of the central one in-focus. The color contrast between the blooms and the unopened ones is marvelous. I also like the that in-focus part is not so sharply in focus that you feel as though you'd cut your finger. By remaining soft, you keep me feeling as though I'm in a pleasant and realistic dream, from which I'd hate to wake. And really, isn't that the way we should feel in a garden?
