What an interesting piece! I never knew architecture could be so intriquing. It's hard to describe why I love it, but I'll try.
First of all, the white clashing with the brown looks great. And it's not just a solid white and brown, but especially in the brown, there are different hues, like in the bottom left. And taking a closer like, I can see the texture on the white tiles, like faint vertical lines.
Then there's the lines. You could've lined them up perfectly, but instead, each line goes slightly past and never quite touches, if you know what I mean. It really gets my eyes moving around the whole picture, so I have to take in everything. And the idea of using big tiles against small was a great idea, in my opinion. I even love how the white doesn't meet all the way, but changes direction near the top right corner, like it's a folded napkin.
The only thing that really baffles me is the title. Why the Protector, I wonder? I just have to keep looking at this to see if I can crack the code, which is something I look foward to in any art piece. I already have many theories, like the white is so big, it's protecting the brown area. Or, perhaps, it could be swallowing or attacking it too. Something tells me I'll never know, but that's the fun of it!
For vision, I'd definitely give this a solid five. I see nothing wrong with it, despite it being a bit confusing, and there's no signatures or watermarks for distraction, as in most photos.
I'd say this is pretty original if I count the title, although I have seen similar concepts to this one. I think a three would be fitting.
Can't say I know what techniques you used, but I'd say a three for that. As for impact, another solid five. It's a work of art that, although is simple and looks easy to pull off, really gets you thinking. Though I doubt it'd do the same had you not used that title, so excellent job with that as well. It sounds silly, but a title can mean a lot, and this one is perfect. Along with the photo, of course.
